Today, February 28th, marks my emotional end of winter. Sure March and even April can be misery to the extreme but for now, I'm rejoicing in rain. Real, proper, flood your house when you leave the windows open even in February rain. Yes, I do. (Heating be damned.)

Winter has been treating me better than even my seasonal affective disorder could have hoped for. Begonia's bloomed and I've been downing 3 shot lattes twice daily thanks to theee most useful christmas present ever gifted by a human. A week ago a surprise heart appeared in my morning foam. A sign? I'll take it.
Hey,
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog recently. Love the pictures, little stories.
I agree with you- winter can be so tough. I've got a bad case of SAD as well, and winters are a real killer for me. Spring is just around the corner though, as you said. Hurrah!
xx
A surprise foam heart is even lovelier to behold than any ornate latte art by a seasoned barista. That, all on its own, would make my day :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images, as always..
Thankful it is March...and that heart is divine!
ReplyDeleteAh, your foam is sending you love. Sweet...
ReplyDeleteLoad up on Vitamin D. My S.A.D. has been made so much better this winter by taking 5000 IUs of Vitamin D each day. But I'm still calling---Spring, where are you???
trying to channel your enthusiasm. bring it, march.
ReplyDeleteYay, hearts in random places--God loves you. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors in those leaves! Did you get a nespresso machine? Those do really help with SAD. I spent a month 6 weeks in Chicago this winter and its was nespresso, nespresso, nespresso.
ReplyDeleteI had a heart in the clouds the other day-- it was massive and perfect and only lasted long enough for me to enjoy it-- I, too, thought it a good omen!!
Cheers! Here's to spring coming!
lovely! surprise hearts are the best! so are surprise smiley faces, i see them everywhere. signs, signs everywhere signs! <3

I agree totally on celebrating the end of Winter. I like the way you celebrate at the end of Feb. For me it happens right about now. Between the return of the Robins, Starlings and Doves and the time change, I say Spring at last, Spring at last, Spring at last!
ReplyDeleteMy first visit here... I'm really enjoying this first image. Your egg photographs are very nice too.
