Jelly Belly

I have a confession.

I really love buttered popcorn jelly bellies. Can't get enough of them.

I never realized they were so polarizing. But I've come to learn that everyone I know hates, no, loathes them. Except my mom and sister, the Merrick girls understand a good jelly bean when they see one. EDIT- Apparently even my mom doesn't like them.

I could never get into the whole bunny suit rigmarole of Easter, but popcorn jelly beans are something I can really get behind.

  2. I don't think I've ever had the buttered popcorn jelly beans, I'm intrigued and a little afraid. I have however always been a fan of the Dr. Pepper jelly beans as well as it's corresponding soda and Bonne Belle chapstick.

  3. no way, those are delicious! they taste faintly like coconuts and are some of my faves-- definitely the flavors picked out of the bag.

  6. ACK! I got ambushed by a popcorn jelly bean last night! Ack! It's as bad as bernie botts puke flavored jelly beans. Someone asked me if I had joke jelly beans. I usually get the fruit jelly bellies to avoid the trauma.

But I have seen bags of only Popcorn jelly beans... so I knew there must be some people out there who like them.

  8. My favorites are the cinnamon ones. I've always wondered who actually likes popcorn-flavored jelly beans; I suppose they're made just for your family!

  14. OK... Amy... Let's fess up!
What do you mean by the comment you can't get into the Easter Bunny thing? Quite literally you did get into the Easter Bunny costumes of Talent Machine, for several years.
I can still picture you being the official Annapolis Easter Bunny and have photos to prove it! Little adoring kids looking up to you with such awe. Can't you just picture Amy dancing in a fluffy chick costume on stage?

  15. I had a most favorite Easter Egg experience yesterday, hiking on a well traversed trail in the Shenandoah mountians. To slow down the ouch of aching muscles, I made hundreds of rock balancing stacks along the path. Told all the kids I meet to count how many they found and then to make some of their own.

I adore balancing odd shaped rocks in unbelievable stacks. It's a form of meditation. But yesterday,it became some imaginative mischief!
    Try it!

  16. I DO, I DO, I DO love popcorn jellies. (No, I'm NOT trying to make you feel all alone in this!)
But my very fav's are coconut.

Didn't realize people had such strong reactions to specific jelly bean flavors.

I read recently that conservatives want to control what they will or won't do with their bodies (i.e. SEX) but that liberals want to control what they put into their bodies! Curious...

Enjoy all the flavors of life!

  19. I don't think that any candy should be buttered flavored. It is just unnatural and weird. hehe.
