Get out! There's a real Ale & Quail? Cf. Preston Sturgis's The Palm Beach Story, where on-the-lam Claudette Colbert (Steven's grandmother?) gets stuck on the southbound train with a passel of drunken millionaire hunters in the Ale & Quail club who shoot up the train car. This movie also has Rudy Vallee saying: "That's one of the tragedies of this life - that the men who are most in need of a beating up are always enormous."
Amazing! sounds like everything one could want in a movie. My great uncle roger founded the hancock ale & quail in 1956 and the nearest neighbors STILL leave town that weekend to escape the shotgun blasts.
i love these photos. look at those bibles, just beautiful.
I love the vertical and horizontal lines in the Bible books photo. The simplicity of the photo and the pure composition are remarkable. Plus the message that Bibles are something saved on a high self, collecting dust, not in current use.Something to ponder....
